What is MR glue

"MR" is short for "Moisture Resistant". It can be seen that the meaning of "MR" is qualitatively different from the meaning of "melamine" and "phenolic". "Melamine" and "phenolic" are both names that refer to the main ingredients in glue. But similar to "WBP", "MR" only refers to a type of feature or characteristic of a type of glue, namely moisture resistance. If glue has moisture-proof properties, this type of glue is called "MR glue" (moisture-proof glue)

Plywood made of MR glue has the characteristics of moisture resistance. MR plywood is commonly used in interiors such as furniture plywood and blockboard.

MR plywood can be kept in water at room temperature for several days without delamination. Therefore, MR plywood or MR laminated plywood used as building formwork can be used in small construction projects.

However, in hot and boiling water, MR glue will open in a short time (no more than 30 minutes), which is significantly different from weather-resistant and boil-resistant plywood.
